The invention relates to the technical field of water platforms, in particular to a guardrail rod stand column for a water platform. The guardrail rod stand column comprises a stand column body (1) and is characterized in that the stand column body (1) is of a hollow structure, the section of the stand column body (1) is square, and the four sides of the stand column body (1) are each of an arc-face structure (10) which protrudes outwards. According to the guardrail rod stand column for the water platform, the section of the column is square, and under the same wall-thickness condition, compared with a cylindrical stand column, the rigidity of the guardrail rod stand column is greatly improved, and the strength of the stand column is better improved. In addition, the four sides of the stand column are designed to be each of the arc-shaped structure which protrudes outwards, and therefore the stand column can be in interference fit with an upper cover and a base in a proper-motion manner; and other fastening parts are not needed, the cost is bttetter saved, and the mounting process is simplified.
