The invention discloses a sitting posture reminding device for a toilet bowl. The sitting posture reminding device comprises at least one range sensor, and the range sensors are used for collecting the distance between a human body and the range sensors and sending distance signals to a control module. The control module sends control signals to a reminding module. According to the sitting posture reminding device, whether the human body is in the optimal defection posture or not is judged by calculating the included angle alpha between a spine and thighs; when the included angle alpha is larger than or equal to 35 degrees and is smaller than or equal to 65 degrees, the human body is in the optimal defection state, and thus colorectal cancer concurrence can be avoided. After the angle is judged by the control module, the reminding module can give out prompt signals, and a user is reminded of whether he or she is in the correct posture or not through sounds or vibrations.
