The invention discloses a hook lock for a door or a window. The hook lock comprises an upper cover plate, a lower cover plate and a poking part mounted on the upper cover plate, wherein a mounting hole is formed in the end surface of the upper cover plate; guide plates are formed on the two sides of the mounting hole; the middle of the poking part inwards concaves to form a poking position matched with the mounting hole; the poking part is mounted on the inner end surface of the upper cover plate in a sliding manner through cooperation of the poking position and the mounting hole; the end part of the poking part is connected with a poking fork; a looseness prevention mechanism is arranged between the upper cover plate and the lower cover plate; and the looseness prevention mechanism is connected with the lower cover plate and is tightly propped against the end surface of the poking part. According to the hook lock disclosed by the invention, since the looseness prevention mechanism is arranged, after the window or the door is unlocked or locked, the situation that the poking part slides down due to own gravity or slight vibration to influence normal use of the hook lock is avoided since the looseness prevention mechanism is tightly propped against the end surface of the poking part, so that the quality of the hook lock is improved.
