The invention discloses a bakelite concrete column and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the steps of (1) mixing and heating phenolic resin, wood flour, talcum powder, a curing agent and a lubricating agent to prepare bakelite powder; (2) mixing the bakelite powder, cement, stones, sand, coal ash, plant fibers, water and a water reducing agent to prepare concrete; (3) pouring the concrete into a steel skeleton and then curing to prepare the bakelite concrete column. The bakelite concrete column prepared through the method has excellent heat-resistant quality and corrosion resistance, and also has relatively high compressive strength.
