The invention discloses a porous ceramic sound absorption material and a preparation method therefor. The method comprises the steps of: firstly weighing ceramic powder, a disperser, a gelling agent and water proportionally; milling the material and obtaining ceramic slurry; then adding a surfactant in the obtained ceramic slurry to heat with mechanically stirring; injecting the slurry after stirring into a mould, and demoulding and drying; and delivering into a kiln for sintering. Advantages of the inventions are that porous ceramic sound absorption material prepared by the method is high in compression strength, good in sound absorption performance, and large in middle and high frequency sound absorption coefficient.
