The invention discloses a multi-purpose vehicle stopping device, which comprises a suspension bracket, a turnover device, a control device and a vehicle stopping device, wherein the suspension bracket is suspended above a vehicle; the turnover device is fixedly connected with the suspension bracket; the vehicle stopping device is fixed on the turnover device; an advertisement display area is arranged on the vehicle stopping device; the control device controls the turnover device to rotate via a signal; the turnover device drives the vehicle stopping device to rotate; and the vehicle stopping device rotates to change and control a head room of a parking place or a vehicle channel and stops the vehicle to pass through. According to the technical scheme disclosed by the invention, the multi-purpose vehicle stopping device is simple in structure, convenient to install, free of wiring on the ground, and easy to adjust and repair; the vehicle stopping device and the turnover device are in rigid connection; before a motor acts, the vehicle stopping device cannot turn over; and the vehicle is effectively prevented from passing through or entering.
