The invention discloses a heat-preserving board and a preparation method thereof. The board is prepared from the following raw materials by weight: 20 to 25 parts of fly ash, 10 to 15 parts of straw fiber, 25 to 30 parts of waste brick particles, 15 to 20 parts of calcium carbonate, 15 to 25 parts of modified bauxite and 15 to 20 parts of magnesium oxide. The invention also discloses the preparation method for the heat-preserving board. According to the invention, the heat-preserving board with high fire resistance, high heat-preserving property, high strength, uneasy fragmentation, light weight, no toxicity, harmlessness, long service life, good water resistance, good interface, energy conversation and safety is prepared with building wastes--the waste brick particles, crop wastes-the straw and the fly ash as raw materials; the heat-preserving board has low raw material cost and simple production process, so a high-performance heat-preserving brick is prepared through low manufacturing cost in the invention, and good market prospects are obtained.
