The invention discloses modified aluminum borate whiskers. The modified aluminum borate whiskers are prepared from 0.5w%-2w% of coupling agents, 1.5 w%-4w% of liquid paraffin and 95w%-98w% of aluminum borate whiskers. The modified aluminum borate whiskers are prepared through the following steps that 1, the coupling agents and the liquid paraffin are stirred with a stirrer at 20 DEG C for 3-4 min, and coupling agent diluent is obtained; 2, the aluminum borate whiskers are added in a high-speed mixer to be heated and stirred, the coupling agent diluent is added when the temperature is increased to 80 DEG C, mixing is performed for 5-10 min, and the modified aluminum borate whiskers are obtained. A composite floor tile prepared from the modified aluminum borate whiskers and the waste plastic is prepared from, by weight, 20-40 parts of the waste polyethylene plastic, 20-50 parts of the waste polypropylene plastic and 30-50 parts of the modified aluminum borate whiskers. According to the modified aluminum borate whiskers and the composite floor tile, the surface property of the aluminum borate whiskers is changed into lipophilicity from hydrophilcity, therefore, the blending compatibility and combining property of the aluminum borate whiskers and the waste polyethylene and polypropylene are greatly improved, and the better market prospect is achieved.
