The invention provides a mechanism used for prompting the locking of a door lock. The mechanism comprises a lock cylinder frame arranged on a door frame. A circuit board is arranged on the inner side wall of the lock cylinder frame. The circuit board is provided with a sounding and illuminating device and a door locking confirming device, wherein the sounding and illuminating device is composed of a power source, a sounder, an illuminating lamp and an energization timer, and the door locking confirming device is composed of an oblique plate, a lapping rod, a baffle and a spring. The output end of the power source is connected with the sounder. The sounder is connected with the illuminating lamp. The illuminating lamp is connected with the lapping rod. The lapping rod corresponds to a bent part at the lower end of the oblique plate. The bent part at the lower end of the oblique plate is connected with the energization timer. The circuit board is welded inside the lock cylinder frame. Through the arrangement, when the baffle is stressed, the spring is compressed, the spring squeezes the oblique plate and drives the bent part at the lower end of the oblique plate, the bent part is in contact with the lapping rod, the circuit is energized, the sounder makes a sound, the illuminating lamp is lightened, people are prompted that the door lock is locked, when the energization time of the circuit reaches a value preset by the timer, the timer is switched off, and both the sounder and the illuminating lamp are stopped.
