The invention provides an adjustable telescopic device for a ladder post of a ladder. The adjustable telescopic device is characterized by comprising a pulling switch, a pulling rod, a connecting element, a lock catch, a rotating switch and a spring, wherein the pulling switch is arranged at the upper end of an outer section of the ladder post; the pulling rod is arranged on the outer side surface of the outer section of the ladder post in an attached way; the top end of the pulling rod is fixedly arranged on the pulling switch; the connecting element is provided with a casing and a cover plate; the upper end of the casing is fixedly arranged at the bottom end of the pulling rod; a rotating point is arranged in the casing; the upper part of the lock catch is rotationally connected with the rotating point and is provided with positioning teeth; the rotating switch comprises a force exerting part, a rotating shaft and a shifting pin; the rotating shaft and the shifting pin are fixedly arranged at the bottom of the force exerting part; the lower end of the spring abuts on the casing; the upper end of the spring abuts on the outer section of the ladder post through a baffle sheet; a shifting rod is convexly arranged on the upper part of the lock buckle; the casing is provided with two transmission baffle sheets in a way of being corresponding to the head part of the shifting rod; the head part of the shifting rod extends to a position between the two transmission baffle sheets, so that when the casing upwards moves, the lower transmission baffle sheet upwards shifts the shifting rod; and the lock catch outwards swings so as to release the locking of the lock catch on an inner section of the ladder post. The adjustable telescopic device has the advantages that the operation is convenient; safety and reliability are realized; the design is reasonable; and the structure is compact.
