The present invention relates to an external wall particle type texture coating material, which is prepared from the following components: water, a defoamer, a dispersant, a wetting agent, bentonite, hydroxyethyl cellulose, a pH value adjusting agent, titanium dioxide powder, calcium carbonate, a styrene-acrylic latex, ethylene glycol, dodecanol ester, a sterilization preservative, an anti-mildew agent, a leveling agent, a thickener, and 20-40 mesh quartz sand. According to the present invention, the external wall particle type texture coating material prepared by combining the components and by using the ratio has characteristics of smooth construction, no resistance force, no sticking to the knife, and strong thixotropy; after the kneading, the sand particles are clear, no floating is generated, and the texture effect is strong and vivid; and the texture coating material further has characteristics of water resistance, alkali resistance, and good adhesion.
