The invention discloses a suspension cable floating bridge based on ships. The suspension cable floating bridge comprises a left ship body, a right ship body, a left gantry, a right gantry, suspension cables and a bridge floor, wherein the left gantry is installed on a deck of the left ship body, the right gantry is installed on a deck of the right ship body, one end of each suspension cable is hinged to the left gantry, the other end of each suspension cable is hinged to the right gantry, the bridge floor is formed by connecting multiple bridge floor modules in an end-to-end mode, each bridge floor module is connected with the suspension cables through pull rods, the first bridge floor module is connected with the deck of the left ship body through a gangplank, and the last bridge floor module is connected with the deck of the right ship body through a gangplank. According to the suspension cable floating bridge, the suspension cable technology and the floating bridge technology are combined organically, buoyancy and maneuvering capability of the ships are utilized sufficiently, the suspension cables and the bridge floor modules are erected between the two ship bodies for rapidly building the bridge floor in an overlap joint mode for forming the suspension cable floating bridge, and the suspension cable floating bridge is less subjected to the influence of the water flow rate and waves and is easy to maintain and dismount, great in emergency capacity and capable of being widely applied to temporary passage, rescue and relief work, military use and the like.
