The invention discloses a pile foundation with high bearing capacity and relates to a square pile for the building industry. The pile foundation comprises a pile body with the square cross section, pile caps of which the side length is larger than that of the pile body are arranged at the two ends of the pile body; multiple longitudinal grooves are formed in the pile body; each plane, between the two pile caps, of the pile body is provided with at least one transverse groove; three or five inserting holes are formed in the corresponding transverse groove. One of the inserting holes is formed in the middle position, between the two pile caps, of the pile body. The pile foundation with high bearing capacity has the beneficial effects that the corresponding pile body can be connected together through the inserting holes in an inserting mode and then fixedly welded, and the whole bearing capacity of the pile foundation is guaranteed.
