The invention relates to a method for improving the anti-seismic performance of a special-shaped column, and belongs to the field of structure seismic methods. The method comprises the steps that firstly, truss-type steel ribs are prefabricated at first; special-shaped column steel ribs at the lower portion of a joint zone are bound during construction of special-shaped column structure joints, form erection is performed, and special-shaped column concrete at the lower portion of the joint zone is cast; then, the prefabricated truss-type steel ribs are lifted at a beam column joint, meanwhile, beam plate steel reinforcing ribs are bound, form erection is performed, and beam plate concrete is cast; during casting of the beam plate concrete, the beam column joint zone is isolated, and finally joint concrete is cast to complete construction of special-shaped column structure joints. Beam end plastic hinges can be moved outwards, so that the effective bearing area of the joint zone is ensured; joint zone beam main ribs can conveniently penetrate through the truss-type steel ribs, so that the continuity of the stress main ribs of a beam negative moment section is ensured; the truss-type steel ribs are added at the joints, the problem that the applicability of the special-shaped column structure at the high-intensity region is limited can be well solved on the premise that the cost is low, and the design difficulty of the special-shaped column structure at the high-intensity region is effectively relieved.
