The invention relates to the technical field of cement concrete products, in particular to a self-curing type micro-expanding agent for concrete and a using method. The self-curing type micro-expanding agent for concrete is prepared from, by mass, 50%-80% of metakaolin, 5%-20% of Mg-Al-CO3 intercalation hydrotalcite, 10%-30% of bentonite, 2%-8% of CaSO4 and the balance tricalcium phosphate, wherein the total mass meets 100%, and the metakaolin and the Mg-Al-CO3 intercalation hydrotalcite are formed through calcinations at a certain temperature. In the using process, the self-curing type micro-expanding agent is mixed internally with the mixing amount of 4%-15% and replaces cement or other binding materials, after concrete is mixed and formed, the concrete can achieve the micro-expanding effect without moisture supplemented externally for curing, and related performance meets the requirement of GB 2349-2009 Concrete Expansive Materials.
