The invention discloses an environment-friendly multifunctional brick and a preparation method thereof. The environment-friendly multifunctional brick is prepared from the following components in parts by mass: 17 to 20 parts of cement, 5 to 10 parts of emulsion, 0.5 to 2 parts of thin iron wire and/or scrap iron, 0.5 to 2 parts of fly ash, 0.5 to 2 parts of reclaim powder, 18 to 23 parts of fine aggregate, 50 to 60 parts of coarse aggregate and 1 to 5 parts of water. The preparation method comprises the following steps of (1) mixing the raw materials to obtain a mixture; (2) preparing a mold brick; (3) curing the mold brick to obtain the environment-friendly multifunctional brick. The environment-friendly multifunctional brick provided by the invention facilitates solving the problems, such as urban environment pollution, natural resource damage and resource waste, is high in strength, is not easy to damage and crack, can be applied to various urban bricks, meets the requirements of low carbon and environment friendliness, and is simple and convenient in preparation method and low in cost.
