The invention discloses a sponge concrete brick and application thereof. The concrete brick is prepared from concrete; the concrete disclosed by the invention comprises cement, sand, garden waste, regenerated stones and a brightener at the weight proportion of 100 to (100-140) to (200-290) to (5-35) to (0.15-1.15). According to the sponge concrete brick, optimal configuration of renewable resources of the garden waste material in an urban construction process is achieved by the garden waste. The concrete brick disclosed by the invention has the advantages of relatively good water absorptivity, water permeability and air permeability, relatively high strength, available raw materials, and low preparation cost; and green plants are easy to plant.
