Magnesium and silicon based thermoelectric material and preparation method thereof
The invention provides a magnesium and silicon based thermoelectric material and a preparation method thereof. The magnesium and silicon based thermoelectric material is Mg2SixSn1-x, and x is 0.35-0.5. The preparation method is a one-step synthesis method, and a reaction synthesis process and a powder densification process are synchronously completed by using transportation and reaction chemical combination among MgH2 powder, nano-Si powder and Sn powder particles under the action of an applied electric field and an applied pressure in order to form the Mg2SixSn1-x thermoelectric material with a special nanostructure. The preparation method has the advantages of short reaction time, reduction of the later densification temperature and the heating time, controllable reaction process, high replicability and benefiting of the highly pure nano-blocky Mg2SixSn1-x material with the oxygen content being lower than 0.05%.
