Raw material composition and method for preparing high-strength casting graphite mold
The invention belongs to the field of casting molds, and particularly relates to a raw material composition and method for preparing a high-strength casting graphite mold. The raw material composition comprises the following components according to percentages by weight: 55 to 65 percent of forged pitch coke, 10 to 20 percent of forged petroleum coke, 1 to 4 percent of boron nitride, and 20 to 24 percent of modified high-temperature coal tar pitch. The method comprises the following steps: 1) preparation of the materials; 2) kneading; 3) airing of the materials; 4) molding; 5) primary calcination; 6) impregnation; 7) secondary calcination; 8) graphitization; 9) machining. Compared with graphite molds which are cast from pure petroleum coke and medium-temperature coal tar pitch, the casting graphite mold prepared from the raw material composition has the advantages of large volume density, high rupture strength, high oxidation resistance, and long service life.
