The invention discloses an ordinary Portland cement clinker preparation method using molybdenum tailings to replace clay, and relates to the technical field of building material preparation. The preparation method comprises the following steps: uniformly mixing the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 70-85% of limestone, 5-20% of the molybdenum tailings and 0-10% of a regulator, so as to obtain a mixture; grinding the mixture to generate a raw material; conveying the raw material to a dry-process rotary kiln system to be calcined; cooling after the completion of the calcining to form the ordinary Portland cement clinker. According to the method, industrial solid wastes, namely the molybdenum tailings, are used for producing the ordinary Portland cement clinker, so that the use of clay is avoided, a cultivated land is protected, consumption of social environment hazardous industrial wastes is realized, and a way for green treatment of factory wastes is provided. The molybdenum tailings are solid wastes remained after molybdenum and iron separation is completed; as ore grinding is performed in the molybdenum and iron separation process, the grinding cost is reduced to a certain extent.
