The invention a novel toughened alundum tube production process. A certain amount of aluminium oxide fiber is added into conventional alundum powder to be uniformly mixed, then a binding agent is added into the mixture to be stirred and kneaded, an alundum tube green body is extruded through an extruding machine, the green body is sintered at high temperature after being stoved so as to obtain the finished alundum tube. The aluminium oxide fiber is uniformly distributed and directionally arranged in the alundum tube, so that the strength and the toughness of the alundum tube can be effectively improved, and the service life of the alundum tube can be effectively prolonged.
