High-hardness and high-toughness alumina ceramic composite material and preparing method thereof
The invention belongs to the technical field of alumina ceramic composite materials, and discloses a high-hardness and high-toughness alumina ceramic composite material and a preparing method of the high-hardness and high-toughness alumina ceramic composite material. The high-hardness and high-toughness alumina ceramic composite material is prepared from the components in weight percentage: 40.7 to 67.6 percent of ZrO2 (3Y), 2.0 to 3.8 percent of WC and the balance of alpha-Al2O3. The preparing method comprises the steps of carrying out wet-type ball milling on all material powder, grinding and sieving after drying, and finally obtaining the high-hardness and high-toughness alumina ceramic composite material through an SPS (Spark Plasma Sintering) technology in a curing forming way. According to the high-hardness and high-toughness alumina ceramic composite material and the preparing method of the high-hardness and high-toughness alumina ceramic composite material, disclosed by the invention, the toughness of composite ceramic is obviously increased through adding the ZrO2 (3Y), meanwhile, the Al2O3 can also be dissolved in the ZrO2 in a curing way to form a solid solution, and the sintering temperature is reduced; under the sintering temperature, the growth of crystal grains is not obvious, and mechanical performance of hardness, strength and the like are excellent; in addition, the hardness and the abrasion resistance of the obtained composite material are further increased through mixing a high-hardness WC phase.
