The invention relates to a rear door opening device of an environment-friendly electric car. The rear door opening device comprises a carriage body. A wheel is arranged on the lower side of the carriage body. A first cover plate is arranged on the upper side of the rear end of the carriage body, and a second cover plate is arranged on the lower side of the rear end of the carriage body. A first adjusting rod is arranged between the first cover plate and the inner side of the carriage body. A second adjusting rod is arranged between the second cover plate and the inner side of the carriage body. The contact face between the first cover plate and the second cover plate is in a step shape. Sealing gaskets are arranged at the contact positions of the first cover plate and the second cover plate. By means of the first cover plate, the second cover plate, the first adjusting rod, the second adjusting rod and the sealing gaskets, the first cover plate and the second cover plate are sealed through the first adjusting rod and the second adjusting rod respectively, meanwhile, the sealing function is further improved through the sealing gaskets, rubbish leakage is avoided, operation is convenient, and the labor intensity of sanitation workers is lowered.
