The invention discloses geopolymer large-size concrete and a preparation method thereof, belongs to the technical field of building materials and is used for solving the problem that conventional and traditional large-size concrete with cement as a binding material generates cracks due to hydration heat. The geopolymer large-size concrete comprises metakaolin, mineral powder, coal ash, aqueous alkali, a water glass solution, water glass solution, fine aggregate, additives and water. Compared with the traditional cement concrete, the probability of temperature cracking of the geopolymer large-size concrete after hardening is greatly lowered, besides, crack analysis caused by self-constriction of the geopolymer large-size concrete is far less than that of cement concrete, and the geopolymer large-size concrete is a good cement concrete substitute material.
