The invention relates to a spinel plastic refractory with good slag corrosion resistance and a preparation method for the spinel plastic refractory. The spinel plastic refractory comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 60-87% of bauxite-based spinel with the granularity of 5-0.074 mm, 0-30% of special alumina with the aluminum oxide content of greater than 80% and the granularity of 5-1mm, 3-8% of active alpha-Al2O3 micropowder, 4-6% of bentonite fine powder, 0.1-0.2% (based on the total weight of the main raw materials) of a thickener which is an additive sodium carboxymethylcellulose and 5-7% (based on the total weight of the main raw materials) of a binder which is an additive. The spinel plastic refractory provided by the invention is good in slag corrosion resistance, long in service life, long in storage life and convenient to construct.
