The present invention provides a Y-alpha Sialon method transparent ceramic preparation method mainly including the following steps: (1) mixture preparation, to be more specific, silicon nitride, aluminum nitride, yttrium oxide and aluminum oxide powder are ball-milled mixed in a ball milling drum, then dried and sieved to obtain a mixture; and (2) hot pressing, to be more specific, the mixed powder is charged in a graphite die for hot pressing sintering in a hot pressing furnace. The Y-alpha Sialon method transparent ceramic preparation method may be used for preparing Sialon transparent ceramics, the process is simple, the light transmission rate can reach 30% to 50%, and material properties are excellent.
