Particle damper with nonlinear rigidity
The invention relates to a particle damper with nonlinear rigidity and belongs to the technical field of structural engineering vibration damping. The particle damper comprises a bottom sliding cap, a sliding friction pair, a connecting spring, a damping box, damping particles, partition boards, fixing bolts and a buffer material. The bottom sliding cap is connected with a vibration damping structure through the fixing bolts, supports the upper damping box and limits it from lateral displacement. The particles are disposed in the damping box. The inside of the damping box is divided into multiple partitions by the partition boards. The connecting spring vertically connects the bottom sliding cap and the damping box. The damping box rubs along a sliding face during vibration to cause system mechanical energy dissipation, the internal damping particles collide and rub to further dissipate system vibrational energy, the connecting spring on the other hand can prevent the damping box from excessively relatively move, nonlinear control force and damper's restoring force are provided for a structure, and vibration damping effect is further improved; the particle damper has more advantages than a traditional single-dissipation damper.
