The invention discloses a lift type window which comprises upper-layer glass, an upper-layer frame, lower-layer glass, a lower-layer frame, a rolling shaft, chains, a switch and a buffer device. The upper-layer frame is mounted on the periphery of the upper-layer glass, the lower-layer frame is mounted on the periphery of the lower-layer glass, grooves are formed in the upper-layer frame, the rolling shaft is arranged on a wall above the window, one end of each chain is connected with the rolling shaft, the other end of each chain is connected with the lower-layer frame by the corresponding groove in the upper-layer frame, rollers are arranged in the grooves, the switch is arranged on a wall below the window, and the buffer device is arranged at the lowermost edge of the lower-layer frame. The lift type window has the advantages that the lift type window is novel in design and simple in structure and can be automatically lifted, and the problem that operators cannot reach existing windows to open and close the existing windows due to the heights of the operators can be solved.
