Float bath roof member, float plate glass production device using same, and method for producing float plate glass
Provided are: a float bath roof member in which creep deformation during use is suppressed; a float plate glass production device using said float bath roof member; and a method for producing float plate glass. This float bath roof member is made of an alumina-silica-based sintered compact in which: greater than or equal to 90 mass% of each crystal phase is a mullite phase; the total content of sodium oxide, potassium oxide, titanium oxide, and iron oxide is less than or equal to 2 mass%; the sintered compact is constituted by coarse grains with an average crystal grain size D50 of 1.0 mm or greater, and fine grains with an average crystal grain size D50 of 0.1 mm or less; and the respective mass ratios of said coarse grains and said fine grains are 85-60 mass% and 15-40 mass%.
