Provided is a production method for firebricks. High-carbon ferrochrome production waste slag is crushed and sieved; the slag is graded and added with other refractory materials; the slag and the other refractory materials are mixed and a binder is added; the firebrick preparation raw materials are subjected to compacting forming and drying, and finished product firebricks are prepared. The production method employs high-carbon ferrochrome production waste slag as a main raw material and has characteristics of wide material sources, waste utilization, no secondary pollution and the like. The production system for firebricks comprises a crushing device, a sieving device, a stirring device, an auxiliary material adding element, a brick press, a drying device and a packaging table. The above devices and machines are in technology connection through converyers. The production system employs high-carbon ferrochrome production waste slag as a raw material to prepare firebricks and employs a burn-free technology, and energy consumption and flue gas dust pollution are avoided. The raw material of the firebricks is high-carbon ferrochrome production waste slag, and thus a lot of waste slag is utilized.
