The invention discloses a preparation method of fiber toughening YSZ composite powder. The preparation method includes mixing the PVA solution with the concentration of 2.0 wt% to 8.0 wt% mixing a dispersant, YSZ and fiber to form a uniform system, mixing the different kinds of fiber and YSZ to form a slurry with the solid content of 30 wt% to 70 wt%, and preparing a composite powder which is a YSZ particle fully wrapped fiber by using a spray-drying process. The prepared fiber toughening YSZ composite powder has uniform granularity, good fluidity and high apparent density.
