The invention provides a special tool for digging an electric pole pit for an electric power line erecting project. The tool comprises a first long operation rod used for being held by hand for operation, a first soil digging shovel connected to the lower end of the first long operation rod and used for digging the electric pole pit, a second long operation rod used for being held by hand for operation, a second soil digging shovel connected to the lower end of the second long operation rod, used for digging the electric pole pit and arranged opposite to the first soil digging shovel and a connecting frame hinged to the joint of the first long operation rod and the first soil digging shovel and the joint of the second long operation rod and the second soil digging shovel so that the first soil digging shovel and the second soil digging shovel can be close to each other to take pulverized soil in the electric pole pit out. By the adoption of the special tool, the long operation rods can stretch into the electric pole pit, the soil and gravel digging amount is greatly reduced, the backfilled soil and gravel amount is quite small after an electric pole is erected in the pit, and the stability of the electric pole is remarkably improved.
