The invention discloses a water closet capable of preventing water splashing by virtue of a buffer plate. The squatting pan is composed of a water tank 1, a water closet body 2, a trap 3, a tank center 4, a buffer plate 5, a groove 6 and a connecting rod 7; and specifically, through design, one or more buffer plates 5 are arranged on the water surface of the tank center 4. With the implementation of the water closet disclosed by the invention, excrement drops on the buffer plate 5 and the buffer plate 5 is effective on relieving the impact force of the excrement, so that a phenomenon of water splashing is avoided. The water closet disclosed by the invention is simple to implement, low in cost, practical and convenient to use and good in market prospect.
