The invention belongs to the technical field of civil engineering, and specifically relates to a high performance expandable pre-stressed concrete and a preparation method thereof. The concrete comprises a cementing material, modified water-absorbing zeolite, an expanding agent, a water reducer, water, fine aggregate, and coarse aggregate. The modified water-absorbing zeolite is modified in two steps and is saturated by water in vacuum. An in-concrete curing technology and a contraction compensating technology are used, under a low water-cement ratio, an expanding agent can be fully hydrated;the problem that an expanding agent cannot be used in high strength concrete with a low water-cement ratio is solved; and the problem of strength loss of concrete in the later period due to excessiveexpanding agent is also solved.
