The invention relates to a preparation method of a chromite roasting rotary kiln burning zone castable. The castable is composed of aggregate, a matrix, and a binder. The aggregate is composed of 35 to 40 wt% of high bauxite and 25 to 30 wt% of ferrotitanium slag particles. The matrix is composed of 20 to 25 wt% of high bauxite fine powder, 6 to 11 wt% of fly ash micro-powder, and 1 to 3 wt% of aluminum fluoride micro-powder. The binder is phosphoric acid and accounts for 8 to 10 wt% of the total weight of the matrix and the aggregate. The castable has the characteristics of low cost, simple technology, high compactness, large cold state compression strength, and strong slag corrosion resistant performance, and is suitable for the preparation of a chromite roasting rotary kiln burning zone.
