The invention relates to the technical field of building structures, in particular to a prefabricated concrete floor system and a construction method thereof. The prefabricated concrete floor system comprises multiple prefabricated concrete beams, multiple prefabricated concrete slabs and concrete post-cast layers; the multiple prefabricated concrete beams are arranged in parallel at intervals, wherein stirrups are arranged in the prefabricated concrete beams, additional reinforcement cages extend out of the tops of the prefabricated concrete beams, and the width of the additional reinforcement cages is smaller than that of the stirrups so that a reserved space can be formed in the peripheries of the prefabricated concrete beams; the multiple prefabricated concrete slabs are arranged, wherein the end parts of the prefabricated concrete slabs are supported in the reserved space of the prefabricated concrete beams, and a pair of prefabricated concrete slabs clamps the additional reinforcement cage in the middle; and one concrete post-cast layer fills the gap of the corresponding additional reinforcement cage between every two adjacent prefabricated concrete slabs. According to the prefabricated concrete floor system and the construction method thereof, the width of the additional reinforcement cages is smaller than that of the stirrups, the reserved width of the top faces of theprefabricated concrete beams is increased, so that contact areas between the prefabricated concrete slabs and the prefabricated concrete beams are increased, and the supporting length of the prefabricated concrete slabs on the prefabricated concrete beams are guaranteed.
