The invention provides a sliding type roof daylighting panel system and an installation method thereof, and relates to the technical field of roof daylighting panels. The sliding type roof daylightingpanel system includes roof purlines, a roof bottom plate fixed to the roof purlines and a daylighting band opening formed in the roof bottom plate, and includes sliding supporting seats fixed to theroof purlines and located around the fan opening, an upper roof plate slidably matched with the sliding supporting seats and a daylighting panel slidably matched with the sliding supporting seats andcovering the daylighting opening. The upper roof plate is provided with the opening and fixed to the surrounding edges of the daylighting panel, and a waterproof structure is arranged at the junctionof the upper roof plate and the daylighting panel. The waterproof effect of the sliding type roof daylighting panel system is long-lasting. The daylighting panel can be deformed (slide) along with theupper roof plate, so that the deformation stress caused by the thermal expansion and contraction of the upper roof plate in the length direction is released, the stress concentration of the roof plate around the opening of a lighting window is avoided, the reliability of connection between the roof plate and the periphery of the daylighting panel is strengthened, and the waterproof effect is long-lasting.
