The open channel irrigation control system based on the big data comprises a liquid level sensor and a valve device, wherein the valve device comprises a controller and a valve actuator for controlling a water inlet valve and a drainage valve; the liquid level sensor for measuring the liquid level of a land parcel to be irrigated is connected to the controller; and the controller controls the valve actuator based on the liquid level of the land parcel to be irrigated measured by the liquid level sensor and/or a received irrigation instruction.
