According to the T-beam bridge widening structure and the construction method provided by the embodiment of the invention, the lower structures of new and old bridges do not influence each other, the construction is effectively simplified, and the construction requirement of not interrupting the traffic of the old bridges under the condition of large traffic volume is met; the connection of the upper part comprises a bridge surface connecting structure for connecting the T-beambridge surfaces of the new bridge and the old bridge; and cross beams are arranged between the T-shaped beam webs of the new bridge and the old bridge, so that bridge longitudinal joints caused by differential settlement of the new bridge and the old bridge are avoided while dead load increase of the old bridge is effectively controlled to reduce adverse effects on the structure, the structure islight and handy, and construction and maintenance are convenient.
