The invention discloses an ancient building exterior wall repair method which comprises the following steps: S1, acquiring an ancient building exterior wall picture based on an image acquisition module; S2, realizing identification on a position on which exterior wall defects are located based on a picture identification module; S3, realizing three-dimensional reconstruction of the ancient building exterior wall picture based on a three-dimensional reconstruction module, and measuring an exterior wall defect dimension based on a dimension measuring module; S4, generating a three-dimensional drawing of exterior wall defects based on the measured results; S5, printing a defect part based on a 3D printer according to the three-dimensional drawing, and removing the thickness of an adhesion layer during printing; and S6, pasting the obtained defect part to corresponding defects through the adhesion layer, and coating a transparent protective coating. According to the principle of restoringthe old as the old, keeping authenticity and intervening less, the original part of an ancient building exterior wall is kept to the greatest extent in a repair process, so that efficient and high-reducibility repair for the ancient building is realized.
