The water quality monitoring and improving device comprises a plurality of water quality improving devices and water quality monitoring devices which are arranged on the ecological revetment at intervals. Each water quality improving device comprises a support device, a work box, a sediment stirring device, an aeration device, a chemical adding device and a collection device. Each water quality monitoring device comprises a sampling device, a water quality analyzer and a processing controller, wherein the sampling device is arranged below the corresponding work box to be used for obtaining a water sample in a watercourse, the water quality analyzer is arranged in the work box and is used for analyzing data of the water sample, and the processing controller is connected with the water quality analyzer and the corresponding water quality improving device and is used for controlling the water quality improving device to improve water quality according to the data of the water sample. In conclusion, the water quality monitoring and improving device based on the watercourse ecological revetment and the method thereof have the advantages of being novel in structure, perfect in process, good in improving effect and the like.
