The invention provides a construction method of a plastic steel sheet pile core wall earth-rock high anti-seepage water retaining cofferdam. According to the construction method, the high-strength plastic steel combined sheet pile core wall anti-seepage earth-rock cofferdam is constructed. A cofferdam body (2) is of a trapezoidal platform structure. A plastic steel sheet pile core wall formed by at least two plastic steel sheet piles (1) through cutting connection is vertically mounted in the middle of the lower side of the cofferdam body (2). A geomembrane (3) is horizontally laid from the top of the plastic steel sheet pile core wall to the surface of a water-side face (A) and then is integrally turned upwards along the slope face of the water-side face (A) and fully laid on the top faceof the cofferdam body (2). Bagged clay (4) is laid and pressed on the slope surface of the water-side face (A), and rock blocks (5) are laid and pressed on the upper side of the geomembrane (3) on the top face of the cofferdam body (2). Clamping and cutting locking structures matched mutually are arranged on the two opposite side edges of the plastic steel sheet piles (1). The plastic steel sheetpile core wall earth-rock high anti-seepage water retaining cofferdam is high in anti-seepage performance and stability. The engineering quantity of the high spray anti-seepage wall is reduced. Afterthe cofferdam is removed, the plastic steel sheet piles can be recycled. The construction difficulty is reduced. The construction period is shortened. The engineering investment is saved. The construction method is particularly suitable for water retaining cofferdam projects with the high requirement for the high anti-seepage performance.
