The invention discloses a preparation method of silicon nitride powder suitable for tape casting and injection molding, belonging to the technical field of ceramic powder preparation. The preparationmethod comprises the following steps: (1) weighing a certain amount of silicon nitride powder with an irregular shape; (2) feeding the silicon nitride powder into a grinding feed port, and enabling the powder to undergo collision, rubbing and shearing in a grinding cavity through high-speed jet airflow from a nozzle so as to remove edges and corners; and (3) fully grinding the silicon nitride powder by adjusting a feeding speed, grinding gas pressure and grinding frequency, and collecting a formed material through a collector and a dust remover. According to the invention, the high-energy airflow is adopted to shape and modify silicon nitride powder in irregular shapes, so the sphericity degree , flowability, loose packing density, tap density and specific surface area of powder particlesare improved; the volume fraction of silicon nitride in tape casting slurry and an injection molding feed is increased under the condition of the same rheological behavior, so the problems of low initial density, high sintering shrinkage rate, easiness in deformation and the like of a green body caused by low content of solid powder particles can be solved.
