The invention discloses a drainage device for drainage engineering. The drainage device structurally comprises a drainage through hole cover, a well lid cylinder body and a self-rotation well lid mechanism, wherein the drainage through hole cover is movably connected with the well lid cylinder body, and the self-rotation well lid mechanism is located at the bottom of the drainage through hole cover and is attached to the drainage through hole cover. The drainage device has the beneficial effects that air convection is formed by the well lid cylinder body of the structure and the self-rotationwell lid mechanism at the top to assist the self-rotation well lid mechanism in rotating, the self-rotation well lid mechanism is started to operate, the structure is changed from a static state to arotating state by utilizing the gravitational potential energy generated by rolling of a vehicle on the road surface, and meanwhile, the tension of water flow can be broken, so that the water flow breaks through sand and stone to hinder rapid input into the equipment, and therefore the accumulated water on the road surface can be discharged, and the accumulated water on the road surface can be prevented.
