The invention relates to the technical field of steel rail stretching and further discloses a railway hydraulic steel rail stretcher. The stretcher comprises an iron seat. According to the invention,the traditional wedging clamping is changed into the existing vertical pressing clamping, so the interior of the iron seat is completely vacated in the direction of the steel rail; in this way, the length of an existing clamping iron block can be increased. Meanwhile, due to the design of the whole structure, the length of the iron seat in the vertical direction is increased; compared with the original scheme, the contact surface of the clamping iron block and the steel rail can be greatly increased by combining the two aspects; therefore, the bearing force of the clamping iron block is increased; meanwhile, due to the design, the clamping iron block and the steel rail are in direct static friction contact in the working process, the sliding friction process does not exist, and the possibility of sliding friction does not exist either, so the clamping iron block can directly, completely and stably clamp the steel rail through force of the hydraulic cylinder, and therefore the functionof the stretcher is better achieved.
