The invention discloses a preparation process of cordierite composite honeycomb ceramic. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) preparing pretreated cordierite powder; (2) grindingthe composite material to obtain composite material powder; (3) preparing mixed pug; (4) preparing a cordierite composite honeycomb ceramic blank; (5) preparing a dry cordierite composite honeycomb ceramic blank; and (6) firing the dried cordierite composite honeycomb ceramic blank to obtain cordierite composite honeycomb ceramic. The cordierite composite honeycomb ceramic prepared by the processdisclosed by the invention has a relatively large sintering shrinkage rate and good thermal shock resistance, and can better adapt to various complex environments.
