The foamed ceramic comprises the followingraw materials in parts by weight: 100-150 parts of steel slag, 25-30 parts of mullite, 30-40 parts of silicon dioxide, 20-30 parts of ferric oxide, 15-20 parts of graphite, 5-15 parts of river sand,25-55 parts of purified water, 5-15 parts of sludge and 5-10 parts of polyacrylamide. The invention further provides a preparation method of the foamed ceramic. The prepared foamed ceramic has good compressive strength, heat conductivity coefficient and closed-pore rate.
