The invention relates to a railway ballast cleaning device which is mounted on a frame of a vehicle body and comprises a row brush cleaning device (A) and two sets of vertical rotary cleaning devices(B) which are arranged on the two sides of the frame of the vehicle body respectively, and the row brush cleaning device (A) comprises a row brush and a row brush. The row brush cleaning device (A) iscleaning elements which are arranged at the lower part of a frame of the vehicle body side by side; and the row brush cleaning devices (A) are arranged behind the vertical rotary cleaning device (B)at intervals along the X direction. Sweeping operation, a sweeping element of the vertical rotating sweeping device (B) sweeps stone ballasts on sleepers into gaps between the sleepers through rotation, the sweeping element of the row brush sweeping device (A) conducts secondary sweeping on railway ballasts which are not swept into the gaps between the sleepers by the vertical rotating sweeping device (B) in the process that the sweeping element of the row brush sweeping device (A) moves forwards along with a vehicle body, and therefore the reliability of sweeping operation is improved.
