The invention discloses a device for collecting floating garbage on bridge piers. The device comprises the piers, and a floating block is arranged on the lower side of each pier, wherein the lower endof each pier penetrates through the corresponding floating block. A storage mechanism for storing the garbage and a collecting mechanism for collecting the floating garbage are arranged at each of the left end and the right end of each floating block. Driving mechanisms for controlling the collecting mechanisms are arranged in the left end and the right end of each floating block. Each driving mechanism comprises a transmission cavity located in the corresponding floating block. The device is simple in structure and convenient to operate; due to the fact that the piers are arranged and stretch across a river surface or a riverway, by means of the garbage collecting device arranged near the piers, the floating garbage moving along with water flow can be collected, and therefore the collecting efficiency of the garbage is improved.
