The invention provides a detection method of an existing building glass curtain wall. The detection method comprises the following steps: S1, acquiring an infrared thermal imaging picture of an existing curtain wall glass plate and a video image of the existing curtain wall glass plate, and determining position information of a sudden change point of curtain wall glass through contrastive analysis; S2, positioning the position of the sudden change point, knocking to obtain a vibration spectrogram of the sudden change point, and judging whether the glass plate at the sudden change point is in an abnormal state or not through contrastive analysis of the infrared thermal imaging picture and the vibration spectrogram in the step S1; and S3, generating an anomaly detection report of the glass plate by utilizing the judgment result of the abnormal state of the glass plate in the step S2, and sorting and storing the anomaly detection report. The obtained infrared thermal imaging picture and the shot video are compared and analyzed, the position of the sudden change point of the glass plate can be found more conveniently and quickly, the working process of accurately checking curtain wallglass manually in the prior art is simplified, and the working efficiency of detection personnel is also improved.
